Timisoara, 14 – 16 September 2007 – DocuMentor Association organized the 3rd Open Training Session 2007 – „Go Est, on The Crossroad of International Coproductions“, in collaboration with Discovery Campus. It was for the first time that such an event was brought in Romania.
Discovery Campus is the leading vocational training initiative for documentary professionals and new talents in Europe. They have been running their program since 1999 and provide an experienced staff of organizers and international trainers. Their events enjoy an extremely good reputation in the documentary film sector. Apart from an annual, ten-month Masterschool for 15 specially selected participants, they offer 3 public symposia / Open Training Sessions (OTS) in different European cities every year.
The 3rd Open Training Session 2007 was leaded by Marijke Rawie, ex-commissioning editor at AVRO (Holland), actually director of ExpertDocs. Numerous experts were present - Olaf Grunert (head of Thema evenings, ARTE), Franz Grabner (commissioning editor ORF, Austria) and Leena Pasanen (director, European Documentary Network).
